Bali Private Charter FAQ

Simple private boats start near IDR 6,000,000 (about USD 350–400). Mid-size motor yachts and catamarans typically run USD 1,500–3,500, larger luxury yachts USD 3,000–5,000+. Bali platforms average about USD 1,137 per day, as of 2026.

Per boat. The vessel and crew are yours for the booked window, whatever your group size, so two guests on a proposal charter still book the entire boat.

A lot. Across Indonesia, Click&Boat reports high season averaging roughly USD 1,674 per day against about USD 383 in low season, as of 2026. A flexible date is worth planning around.

Base rates cover a licensed captain and crew, standard fuel, snorkelling gear, safety equipment, iced water and soft drinks. Transfers, harbour fees, styling, premium catering, alcohol, photography, live music or a celebrant are paid add-ons.

No. A full-boat buyout means only your group is aboard for the booked window, so a surprise proposal happens without strangers watching. Groups stay under about 20 guests; a catamaran takes around 14.

Departures run year-round, mainly from Tanjung Benoa (Benoa Harbour) and Serangan, with Sanur Marina also used. Routes head to Nusa Dua, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, with snorkelling at Manta Point or Crystal Bay.

Simpler day charters can sometimes be arranged within a few days. Styled occasions with catering and photography are best confirmed two to four weeks ahead, and longer in high season, when boats book out fast.

Bali charters routinely run with licensed captains and crew and standard safety equipment, consistent with national maritime norms under Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation. We do not quote specific regulation numbers.

Operators reschedule rather than sail in unsafe conditions, especially on the Nusa Penida crossing, so you typically move the date instead of forfeiting the booking. Exact terms vary by operator; confirm the written policy before you pay.

Ceremonies at sea are typically symbolic vow celebrations, not legal marriages. Legal registration in Indonesia is handled onshore, so many couples marry on land first. The concierge can coordinate a celebrant; confirm paperwork with the authorities yourself.

Alcohol is usually a paid add-on, quoted with premium catering. Bringing your own may be possible depending on the boat’s policy. Confirm alcohol and corkage terms with Bali Premium Trip before your date.

Nusa Penida is moving toward mandatory e-ticketing, an emerging change as of 2026. It may add a booking step or fee for certain stops. The concierge tracks the rules and folds any tickets into your itinerary.
